John Marsh embarks on a 2.5 hour slog through what we've named, "Hell Alley". It's a "shortcut" to one of John's favorite sinking spots, but, although it is shorter, it takes a lot longer than the long way. This trip was particularly difficult because the tide was getting lower the entire time John was desperately trying to get through. Less water makes for fewer places where the kayak can be paddled and dragging the kayak over the mud with no water is much harder. John does stop to sink in some of the more interesting places. He uses different tactics to make progress; walking, swimming, doing the backstroke and more. It's a full body workout, and it's very messy. He also makes a stop to do some self-bondage swamp inversion therapy. Of course, throughout the video, John is wearing his signature jean cutoffs that are super short.

As an added torment, for about half of this clip, John is towing the kayak with a rope tied around his genitals. It's just a mild tease, to make it more interesting, and it frees up his arms.
